Terms of service

Last updated: July 9, 2026

In short:Nodal is an AI platform for chat, media generation, a developer API, and the Nodal community. You buy prepaid credits and spend them on generations and requests. You keep the rights to what you put in and, to the extent the law allows, what you get out — but you are responsible for how you use it. Don't break the law, don't infringe others, and don't abuse the system. This summary is not a substitute for the full terms below.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you and the operator of Nodal ("Nodal", "we", "us"). By creating an account, accessing, or using Nodal (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction if that age is higher, to use Nodal. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Service with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. If you use Nodal on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

2. The Service

Nodal provides access to artificial-intelligence features, which currently include: multi-model conversational chat; generation of images, video, and audio; a developer API that offers an OpenAI-compatible gateway to underlying models; and community and discovery surfaces where users may publish AI-generated posts, follow creators, and remix prompts. Features, model availability, limits, and pricing may change, be added, or be removed at any time as we develop the Service.

3. Credits and payments

Nodal is credit-native. You purchase prepaid usage credits, framed as 10,000 credits equal to one US dollar (US$1.00) of value, and credits are consumed as you use the Service — for example, per generation, message, or API request. The credit cost of a given action depends on the model and operation and may change over time.

Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record for purchases. Paddle handles the transaction, billing, and applicable taxes. Nodal does not store your full card or payment-instrument data. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's terms and privacy notice.

Except where required by applicable law, purchased credits are non-refundable, are not redeemable for cash, and have no monetary value outside the Service. Promotional, bonus, or granted credits may carry additional conditions, may expire, and may be revoked at any time, including if we believe they were obtained through error, abuse, or fraud.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Nodal to create, upload, request, or distribute content or to take actions that:

We may use automated and manual review to enforce these rules and may remove content, restrict features, or suspend accounts that we reasonably believe violate them.

5. Your content and license

"Your Content" means the prompts, files, images, and other material you submit, and the posts you publish. As between you and Nodal, you retain the rights you hold in Your Content. You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit it and to grant the license below.

To operate the Service, you grant Nodal a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt (for formatting and display), and — for content you choose to publish to Nodal — publicly display and distribute Your Content. This license exists only to run and improve the Service and its community features. When you delete Your Content or your account, this license ends for future use, except that residual copies may persist for a limited period in caches, logs, and backups, and except where we must retain material to comply with law or resolve disputes.

6. AI outputs

"Outputs" are the content the Service generates in response to your inputs. To the extent permitted by applicable law, and subject to these Terms and any third-party model provider terms, you own the Outputs you generate. Because of how generative models work, other users may submit similar prompts and receive similar or identical Outputs, and we make no promise that any Output is unique.

Outputs are provided without any warranty of accuracy, completeness, originality, non-infringement, or copyrightability. AI systems can produce content that is wrong, misleading, or offensive. You are solely responsible for evaluating Outputs and for how you use them, including confirming that your use complies with applicable law and third-party rights.

7. Creator earnings and referrals

Nodal may offer ways to earn, including referral commissions when users you refer top up their credits, and creator earnings when other users make use of prompts you publish. Earnings accrue as credits within your account. Cash withdrawal, where offered, is subject to a minimum balance floor equivalent to US$100 and, at the time of these Terms, is not yet available ("coming soon").

We may withhold, reverse, or claw back earnings that we reasonably believe arise from fraud, self-referral, fake accounts, or other abuse of the programs. Program terms, rates, floors, and eligibility may change or be discontinued, and any withdrawal may require identity or tax verification and compliance with applicable law.

8. Third-party model providers

To fulfill your requests, Nodal routes your prompts and referenced media to third-party model providers and infrastructure vendors that host or run the underlying models. Their processing of that data is governed by their own terms and policies. By using generation features, you authorize this routing. We are not responsible for third-party services, and their availability may affect features on Nodal.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time through profile settings (the Danger Zone) or by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends. The treatment of any remaining credits or accrued earnings on termination is handled in accordance with these Terms and applicable law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

10. Disclaimers

The Service, including all models, features, and Outputs, is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that Outputs will meet your requirements.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Nodal and its operators, officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business, arising out of or relating to the Service, even if advised of the possibility. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) US$100 or (b) the amounts you paid to Nodal for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and provide notice through the Service or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.

13. Contact and governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's jurisdiction of registration, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except where mandatory local consumer-protection law applies to you. Questions about these Terms may be sent to the support email published in the app and in the site footer, or to support@asknodal.com.
